AWAL are looking for an A&R Scout to join the team. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with the right energy, curiosity and nous to help identify and find incredible global talent and help bring them into partnership with AWAL - the world leading artist development label.
What you'll do:
Scout and reach out to established and emerging talent for AWAL
Build a network amongst artists / lawyers / managers and the creative community
Be a champion of diversity and culture and a creative force within AWAL
Scout for new talent and attend shows on behalf of the team, supported by our A&R scout structure
Be accomplished at spotting and discovering promising artists via scouting tools and your own bespoke approach to social networks and music services
Take meetings with artists, managers, lawyers, labels, educate them on what AWAL and AWAL Recordings is
Regularly attend live shows and events
Be a collaborative and supportive team member, cultivating a great team culture and shared success

Requirements

Required Experience
You should have some experience within a label, music company or live music promotion environment, show a methodology and skill for finding great artists both online and IRL. Finally, an understanding of AWAL's story and what sets AWAL apart within the Record Label space is essential.
Who you are:
Have some experience (min 1 year) either within a record label / publisher / management company or within live promotion
Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
Passionate about new music and discovering new talent
An enthusiastic lover of new music and an ambitious driver of creativity and success
A great network and learned experience from the music industry
A self-starter, a quick learner, a highly organized individual with proven ability to multi-task and work under pressure and with a high level of attention to detail
Entrepreneurial spirit, forward thinking and a creative and positive attitude
An artist first approach to the artist / label relationship
A real hunger to learn and continue to expand and build on your experiences..
Have an understanding of AWAL and it's unique place in the recorded music space
