Description

Good Folk, a Nashville-based music management firm, is looking for a full-time artist manager who has a relentless passion for solving problems, attention to detail and is eager to learn along the way.
As part of the Good Folk team, you will work in collaboration with founder Jordan Mattison as he manages both the careers of producers, songwriters, and engineers, as well as owned digital products we have been developing. This manager will assist in day-to-day operations including scheduling, client accounting, royalty forecasting, financial modeling, and income procurement. Besides assisting with various client needs and requests, we envision this role can also contribute to the overall strategic growth of our small boutique firm.
We welcome independent thinkers who love to ask questions, get their hands dirty, and aren’t afraid of co-hosting a happy hour. Previous management experience isn’t required, but creativity and a great attitude are.
Terms:
  • Contract-to-hire position with opportunity to become full-time after 3 months
  • Must be able to work with our team at our offices in Nashville
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed

Requirements

  • A general understanding of music royalties
  • An interest in developing careers for creatives
  • An eagerness to learn new tools, develop efficient systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Good design sense and familiarity with social media platforms and marketing graphics
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to pitch new ideas to clients

We also help manage relationships with other partners, publishers, and all PRO orgs. 2. Income management and procurement We are exceptionally thorough in finding income opportunities in overlooked places and ensuring sure vendors are paid as income is received. This includes managing income from copyrights primarily in regards to PRO earnings and sales/streaming earnings. 3. Project accounting and detailed reporting We showcase quarterly and yearly earnings for each client via clear, insightful reports that become income roadmaps for the following year.
