Sr. Reporter / Producer, Reply All - Gimlet (Remote Eligible - North America)

Spotify team

We are a bi-weekly podcast that covers the internet through a mix of ambitious narrative journalism and funny, engaging conversations. We tell stories about everything from the weird and unexplained to the personal to the political, and we’re looking for someone to join our close-knit team as we continue to expand the scope and ambition of our stories.
The Job The Producer/Reporter will collaborate with other members of the team (and occasionally outside contributors) to create stories for the show. The role involves wearing many different hats.
With the support of the team, you will report your own stories. We will do our best to make your tape sing, your writing sharp, and your jokes land. We will brainstorm experiments to try together and make things none of us have made before. You will also shepherd other team members’ stories through the whole process -- brainstorming ways to inject play or surprise into a story, mapping out potential story structures, designing production plans and helping build the piece. And still other times, you will jump onto a story for just a few days to help get it over the finish line.
The ideal person for this position feels nourished by supporting others, and jumps at the opportunity to report out answers to their own questions. We’re looking for someone who has excellent judgment, sharp instincts, and is excited to grow with our team.
