Key job responsibilities You are a talented, self-starter, and detail-oriented Software Development Manager who is excited about big challenges related to scalability, performance, personalization, and machine learning. You will contribute your creative ideas and energy to improving the customer experience by leaps and bounds. Duties include hiring, developing, and managing a team of high-performing engineers who research, design, and implement software algorithms which test their best ideas against Amazon's legion of music customers. You will leverage your own strengths and those of your team to make Amazon Music more personalized and the best part of each customers' day.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • 1+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
  • Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years’ experience developing mobile applications on iOS/Android using Objective-C and/or Swift and Java, C, C++
  • Experience with building large scale distributed systems on AWS or any other cloud provider.
  • Experience developing high-quality mobile applications
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new, complex development environments
  • Experienced in all stages of development, including design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Analytical and creative design skills and excellent communication skills
