We are looking for a highly creative, analytical and results-oriented Prime Music Marketing Lead to help build and launch new product marketing initiatives supporting Prime Music, working across Amazon teams, influencing and leading partners to think big, invent and simplify, and deliver on project roadmaps. This role is responsible for driving Prime Music lifecycle programs (activation, engagement, retention and reactivation). A successful candidate for this role will be an independent, creative problem-solver with great business acumen, and the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while managing competing deadlines. You will have strong product marketing, program management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently under time constraints to deliver results. Given the complexity of the role, it will also be important to be operationally strong – managing a large number of relationships, dependencies, and timelines across many teams.
This individual will partner with teams across Amazon Music and Prime to drive growth strategies in an effort to increase Prime Member awareness, interest, trial and adoption of Amazon Music. This role will be responsible for the ideation and implementation of a robust global test & learn plan, as well as scaling winning programs & campaigns globally. This role will own strategy and report to senior leadership on progress and upcoming projects, and champion best practices across global teams. You should be well versed in customer behavior, business drivers, and conceive new initiatives to improve KPIs.
Position can be located in Los Angeles, Seattle or San Francisco.
Duties & Responsibilities Will Include
  • Own the strategy, planning, and execution of marketing campaigns to drive adoption and improved customer lifecycle engagement globally
  • Flawlessly execute marketing tests, using A/B testing to optimize creative and campaign targeting
  • Own monitoring of Prime Music performance, reporting on trends to leadership via WBR, MBR and QBRs and deep diving as needed to develop action plans
  • Own Amazon Music’s relationship with the Prime WW Benefits Marketing team, consistently partnering to drive joint initiatives that improve customer adoption of Prime Music; pursue additional cross-team opportunities with teams such as Prime Video, Twitch, Audible and Kindle
  • Use analytical insights to create actionable strategies that will help increase effectiveness against marketing goals
  • Work with global marketers to ensure parity and consistency in marketing best practices across all Amazon Music territories
  • Identify new merchandising, marketing and promotional opportunities based on understanding of business goals and competitive analysis/benchmarking
  • Evaluate broader marketing program impact on business performance; identify and drive improvements or areas of opportunity
  • Use internal tools to identify and target relevant customers; identify and leverage new or emerging patterns in customer behavior to inform strategy and engage new segments
  • Play a lead role in identifying the risks and ROI for campaigns, events and promotions; evaluate trade-offs and recommends plans
  • Represent category in large cross-functional or cross-category projects

Requirements

  • 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
  • BA/BS, MBA or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of product marketing and digital marketing experience, developing and driving high-performing marketing campaigns across large cross-functional teams
  • Global experience driving global marketing programs
  • Understanding of customer lifecycle marketing, including customer lifetime value, early life habit formation, retention, and churn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting across all levels of the organization including to senior leadership
  • Proven experience in digital marketing or product management, ideally in entertainment or for a subscription service
  • Ability to earn trust with colleagues, foster collaboration, and influence without authority to drive projects to completion
  • Resourceful problem solver who is comfortable operating in a sometimes ambiguous space
  • Ability to balance strategic and operational responsibilities; deliver on day-to-day needs while shaping the larger strategy
  • Strong understanding of digital products and the entertainment industry
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to think critically and use data to derive insights and inform marketing plans
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to drive recommendations, articulate tradeoffs, and communicate plans to senior executives
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA/advanced degree
  • 8+ years with digital media (video, music, games, software) and/or consumer subscription products.
  • 3+ years of mobile experience with consumer technology product or service
  • Experience managing across global teams and KPIs
