As the Marketing Lead on the cross-functional team directly responsible for managing Spotify’s large-scale multi-year partnership with FC Barcelona, you will be responsible for driving marketing strategy and activations to achieve key brand, engagement and growth metrics.
This position requires experience planning and managing integrated, multi-market marketing campaigns, a strong partnership marketing strategy background, excellent communication skills and the proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally on all initiatives.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead overall marketing strategy as well as campaign planning and execution for priority global soccer/football and other sports partnerships.
  • Act as a liaison and partnerships leader across the global Spotify marketing organization, including regional marketing teams, Brand/Creative, PR & Comms, etc.
  • Represent marketing in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams (Business Development, Music, Subscription, Legal, Licensing etc.) to drive maximum value and engagement from partnerships.
  • Work with internal and external partners to plan and implement relationship management strategies, and manage day-to-day relationships with partner organizations driving lifecycle marketing, key launch events and long-term growth and engagement.
  • Evaluate, prioritize and project manage all opportunities and activities - creating project timelines and budgets, managing status reports, tracking brand and campaign metrics, etc.
  • Produce and maintain ongoing overviews, findings and strategies to keep internal partners informed.
  • Work out of the EU or UK, with travel to other regional Spotify hubs and to partner headquarters and activation locations.

Requirements

  • You have proven experience leading consumer-facing partnerships, especially with major sports league/team partners. Specific football/soccer experience is a big plus.
  • You have shown relationship development and partner/account management abilities.
  • You have experience successfully developing and implementing brand-led marketing campaigns with truly global reach.
  • You have the confirmed ability to work cross-functionally, and handle multiple partners across time zones.
  • You understand prominent web, mobile, and social platforms as well as the competitive digital music landscape.
  • You have experience proactively solving problems and building projects and processes from scratch.
  • You have excellent business writing, presentation and organizational skills, and are comfortable working with partners at the executive level.
  • You are proficient in Keynote, PowerPoint, Excel, Gmail, and Google products.
