The Partner Relationship Management team within Sony , (Lund site) is responsible for the technical dialogue and cooperation with our key partners in Europe. Primarily mobile operators, but also other potential business partners are our main customers. Focus so far has been on roadmaps and requirements for Sony Xperia products, but we are now expanding our scope to cover the wider business of how mobility aspects can serve Sony Group as whole.
The role will combine two different focus areas;
  • The dialogue on short/mid-term technical needs from operators and other partners, where you will be responsible for keeping track of our existing partners’ requests, requirements and proposals
  • A longer-term analysis of the trends and future outlook for the mobile industry as such, as 5G gets deployed and 6G emerges, and to study how Sony can benefit from this .
The role is anchored in technology (understanding tech standards, requirements, specifications, etc.), but it requires a holistic mind, ie to also understand the business needs of our partners, as well as user behavior and expectations from the end-users of our products and services.


We expect you:
  • To have a good general knowledge about the mobile communications industry,
  • To be a good analyst (with a technical background),
  • To work independently as well as co-operate well in teams. We also expect that you
  • To have experience with customer dialogue, and that you can
  • To drive smaller projects and other activities.
Competences we are looking for:
  • Engineering background in Electronics and/or Wireless communication
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience
  • Analytical and project management skills
  • Business understanding (market, trends, etc.)
Personality traits we value:
  • an excellent communicator, able to lead presentations and discussions,
  • curious about products, services, technology and customer needs,
  • innovative and have a visionary approach
  • a fast learner
  • available to travel, since both Sony and our customers are global organizations
  • Fluent English speaker.
