National Sustainability Coordinator
Description
- Serve as coordinator for regional and venue teams, executing day-to-day tasks to support venue development, training, and improvements.
- Help maintain and grow a centralized resource repository to scale sustainability solutions across the U.S. venue portfolio.
- Execute a strong venue support model, including but not limited to coordinating bi-weekly meetings, office hours, and gap reports.
- Identify common thematic challenges across venue operations teams and coordinate tools, tracking mechanisms, and resources to support improvement.
- On occasion, step in to support venue crews during marquee or high-visibility venue productions.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and innovations across regions, both operationally and through communications strategies.
- Assist high-visibility artist activations and engagements across multiple regions.
- Research and coordinate submissions to third-party recognition systems.
- Work with creative teams to build and deploy presentations, digital communications assets, and onsite fan materials.
- Compile innovative solutions from across regions to assess feasibility in other markets.
- Coordinate pre-season venue resources including: toolkits, orientation materials, procurement guides and educational programming.
- Support pre-season venue coordinator onboarding plans for new and returning personnel.
- Administer venue data tracking systems including energy, water, waste, stakeholder surveys, and more.
- Summarize venue analytics into mid-season and post-season reports to understand areas for improvement.
- Upon supervisor request, travel to venues to support audits, assessments, major projects, and significant artist activations
- Effectively manage travel budget (up to 5-10% travel anticipated)
Requirements
- At least 2 years in one of the following: operations/event coordination, guest services and communications, event or campus sustainability/zero waste events
- At least 2 years in a leadership position
- Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following: data and analytics, supply chain and waste systems, marketing and communications, built environment, energy systems and policy, NGO and community partnerships, climate resiliency
- Comprehensive understanding of technical environmental concepts and their unique impacts on the live music and entertainment industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Asana, and Box platforms
- Ability to travel, including weekends
- Ability to work independently
- Creative systems thinker and problem solver
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
- A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
