Marketing Manager, Global Podcasts
Description
- Oversee and create launch strategies to exceed audience targets for new podcasts and grow listenership for existing shows and back-catalog episodes
- Work closely with research and insights to define target audiences and better understand interests and behaviours that drive podcast consumption. Utilize experience and data-driven thinking to interpret and communicate findings
- Oversee the development and execution of 360 campaigns from start to finish:
- Lead ideation and develop campaign launch strategy
- Oversee the development of tile art and digital and social creative assets
- Collaborate with production to write engaging show descriptions, promo copy and scripts
- Partner with the media planning team to secure off-network, advertising placements, traffic assets, and manage production timelines of all paid and organic campaigns across traditional, digital, and social media platforms
- In collaboration with the subscriptions team, drive growth experiments, acquisition, funnel optimization and testing plans to deepen the relationship with listeners and drive scalable results
- Possess a demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done while continuing to think big
- Collaborate heavily across marketing, production, business partners, and creative team to manage the end-to-end creative process, from brief to delivery and optimization, to ensure the creative delivers on campaign objectives and audience growth goals
- With a meticulous eye for detail, track campaign spending, oversee purchase order process, and liaise with finance to ensure projects meet budget objectives
- Possess an ability to multi-task at a fast pace and keep track of multiple production timelines and deliverables
- Constantly seek new ways to improve processes and achieve efficiencies
- Keep up with the quickly changing podcast industry and consistently bring new thinking and campaign ideas to the team
- Partner with platform partners (Apple, Spotify, Amazon, etc.) to maximize show promotion and secure co-marketing opportunities
- Analyze and report outcomes of audience growth initiatives to senior management, producers, and talent
- Support wider team projects designed to build our podcast network and brand
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience in marketing, ideally with a background in media or entertainment marketing
- A demonstrated track record of creating and executing effective marketing campaigns, with demonstrable ROI
- Experience driving direction and alignment with various internal and external cross-functional teams
- Equally creative and analytical, with exceptional communication skills
- Ability to multi-task at a fast pace
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to excel in a lean, fast-paced work environment – with self-initiative and self-confidence
- You embrace creativity, aim high and push boundaries
- Can do, no task is too small attitude
