The Marketing Team at Wondery and Amazon Music are looking for a dynamic, motivated candidate to fill the position of Marketing Manager - AM O&E (Originals and Exclusives). Wondery and Amazon Music work with a wealth of podcast talent, and support creators in bringing their stories to a wide audience. The Marketing Manager - AM O&E will support the strategic development and execution of multi-faceted marketing campaigns around Amazon Music’s key originals and exclusives podcasts.
A Day In The Life This person will work closely with teammates and partners across Brand Strategy & Planning, Creative, Media, Music Industry, PR, Measurement and Analytics teams as well as with brand & business stakeholders in other parts of Amazon, agencies and external companies.closely with PR, copy-writers, digital strategists, media buyers, data strategists and creative teams to plan campaigns that will grow the listenership of our partner shows. The Marketing Manager - AM O&E will also act as a marketing consultant to our many partners and creators. The ideal candidate is a people person who will bring energy and passion to their daily interactions. This individual thrives in complex and fast-paced environments and can effortlessly pivot from individually designing and executing focused, single channel campaigns to leading global cross-channel, cross-functional programs, often simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Interface, manage and build relationships with the creators and representatives of AM O&E shows
  • Builds the brand of a show/ series. Identify the value proposition and audience segmentation, and design the marketing campaign for new show launches
  • Act as a voice for AM O&E shows to internal (content, ad sales, etc…) and external (agencies, partners, audio platforms) teams
  • Collaborate with and coordinate efforts with the AM brand marketing, data and analytics, finance, creative studio, social media, PR, and corporate marketing teams.
  • Develop and manage partner and creator relationships - platforms, agencies, media partners, etc.
  • Maintain Amazon Music standards and practices in all areas of strategy and execution.
  • Manage the show marketing budget and track KPIs
  • Create and execute flawlessly on marketing plans
  • Compile comprehensive pre-launch and post-mortem reports
  • Contribute to larger marketing activations
  • Lead development of creative materials
  • Design and execute briefs for marketing resource groups – Creative, Social, PR, Media and Data
  • Keep abreast of podcast industry news, and emerging trends in content marketing
  • Support the team as subject matter expert in an area of our marketing disciplines

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
  • 5+ years of experience in entertainment marketing, content marketing or related field
  • Understanding of audio apps and a willingness to learn audio-specific performance tracking
  • Passion for Podcasts and audio storytelling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A creative mindset
  • Excel, Powerpoint, & Keynote proficiency
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to extract valuable analytical insights from campaign & company data
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Comfort with ambiguity; a track record of responding quickly to opportunities.
  • Experience working cross functionally and with a variety of stakeholders
  • Self-starter attitude
  • PR or branding experience is a plus
  • Previous partnerships experience
  • Ability to succeed both as an individual contributor and in a team environment, and also will be able to perform at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, align and inspire cross-functional teams, including those who are not direct reports
  • Expertise in paid & owned media channels
  • Strong understanding of marketing measurement
