SoundCloud is looking for an experienced Marketing Data Analyst to join our Growth Marketing Analytics team. The team leads all reporting and analytics pertaining to SoundCloud's multi-channel marketing efforts facing both Fans and Creators.
As an analyst with a strong background in Marketing reporting, analytics, and optimization, you will strengthen the team in the areas of data visualization, data processing and workflow automation. By that you will contribute to high quality dashboards and reporting capabilities that enable executives, marketing, business and product decision makers to routinely use data for refining and validating marketing, business and product strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing robust reporting capabilities that incorporate best practices in data visualizations
  • Devising and executing ad-hoc analyses that answer business questions/hypotheses from diverse stakeholders with appropriate statistical and machine learning approaches
  • Designing, building, and operationalizing dashboards that answer key business questions and/or visualize the outcomes of marketing campaigns across channels (e.g. Paid Search, Programmatic Display), as well as hypothesis-driven experiments in CRM, user experience, and product


Required Experience and Background:
  • 3+ years of experience working with SQL or relational database - e.g. BigQuery
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools - e.g. Looker, Google Data Studio
  • Experience manipulating large data sets through object oriented programming (ex: Python), statistical software (R) or other methods
  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Experience having effective conversations with clients about their support needs and requirements, managing the intake process, and asking the right questions to scope and solve the requests
Preferred Experience And Background
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Experience with Python (preferred) or R
  • Prior experience building regression and machine learning-driven models a plus
  • Experience working with Google BigQuery
  • Experience with data management, specifically with building data systems and validating reports from disparate systems
  • Conversant with Mobile Measurement Platforms, e.g. Adjust, AppsFlyer, Branch
  • Understanding of multi-touch attribution
  • Prior experience with MTA vendors e.g. Nielsen VisualIQ, Rockerbox, AppsFlyer
  • Experience working in the subscription application space highly desirable
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and hypothesis-driven experimentation
